Countdown Westgate sells winning Lotto ticket
A lucky shopper at Countdown Westgate has won $500,000 from Lotto.
The player from Auckland will be popping champagne after buying the winning ticket from the store.
A Tauranga punter who bought a ticket from Bureta Superette also netted $500,000 in Wednesday's first division draw.
Players who bought from the winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it at any Lotto NZ outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ App.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
