MASKS
I do hope they have a lot of ambulances spare if we are going to have to wear masks all through the hot and sticky summer. Very hard to breathe, and easy to faint.
Also, when walking on uneven footpaths, you normally look down to see where you are walking. Try this with a mask blocking your view downwards. Several people have told me they have almost tripped over.
And just out of interest, I ordered a black mask online. These are $3 from China, but postage time wise I decided to buy from OZ for $20.
It consists of two unhemmed pieces of polyester material with a cut out for your ears and a seam down the middle. It slips down, and is generally useless. Worth 20 cents. Don't get sucked in!

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
