Gala & garage sale 29 March
Sunday 29 March will be the annual Waimauku Lions GALA at the Waimauku Village shops. The garage sale opens at 7.30am, and the Gala from 8.30am. Come and enjoy some bargains, food, games and have a look at the helicopter simulator! All proceeds will go to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter service. We're happy to have more stalls and carboot sales, and also items for the garage sale (no appliances, TVs, or furniture please.) Email us on lionswaimauku@gmail.com) and of course: See you there on the day!

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
