Eye melanoma: Flashing light in mum's eye leads to cancer diagnosis
After a month of blurred vision and a continuous black and white light in her left eye, Leanna Bell decided to get it checked out.
Not realising the seriousness of it at first, she was shocked to discover it was a rare, cancerous tumour.
The 26-year-old mother of two from Massey was diagnosed with melanoma in her eye in December 2019.
Now she is getting ready to travel to Liverpool in the United Kingdom for a month to have treatment.
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
