My view is retirement if going to keep going up every year or every so often, what is people our age from 30 upwards going to have when we get to that age? Has any actually thought about that? Has any actually thought about that? I am not being mean to anyone in respect with the retirement age going up or down, but am just concerned if like my generation now, I'm in my mid 30's still young and active, what will happen if retirement age does keep going up and up? What the next generation look forward to when we get to that age? You need to think of not just older people (no respect) but what will your children or grandchildren in their 30's onwards have for an retirement? Can you see it on a bigger scale to speak? Hand sewn from recycled fabric and stuffed by hand too, most of them, and the bigger ones (those in photos 3-5) have a size 20 Spotlight inner. =D They are made from recycled clothing and upholstery fabric. Those in photo 1 are 34cm x 34cm x 15cm thick, the size 18 floral print cushion (photo 2) is 45cm long x 30cm tall, and 15cm thick at the thickest point. The larger size 20 one (photo 3) is 43cm long x 45cm tall, and about 17cm thick at the thickest point. The big green and black side-panelled ones (photos 4 & 5) are a size 20 Spotlight cushion inner, that's 47cm by 46cm by about 22cm thick at the thickest part. Nice and big and comfortable to lean on in your favourite armchair. =D The two small duck-egg green ones are $5 for the pair, and are 34.5cm x 34.5cm x 10cm thick. Auckland's median weekly rent rose to $560 in July, while in Wellington the median weekly rent has risen 10 per cent year-on-year to $530.

Last month around 1000 retail workers in Auckland held an impromptu meeting inside Westfield St Lukes mall to demand a living wage as a part of their Worth It campaign, which aimed to deal with what they called the pay crisis across the retail sector. The campaign aims to get workers a living wage as a minimum pay rate and enough secure hours of work to live on. Kmart and Bunnings, along with some New World stores, earlier this year also committed to paying their staff the living wage. The union has also recently negotiated a pathway to living wage with H&M. "Achieving a living wage for The Warehouse workers proves that low prices in retail are completely compatible with paying retail workers enough to live on," union spokeswoman Kate Davis said. "Those large retail companies that are not yet paying living wages are becoming outliers. FIRST Union members are zeroing their focus on them, like Farmers Department Store, Pak'n'Saves and Cotton On."
