Warning - it is so easy to burn your dog's pads in this weather

Stephanie from Devonport

I was unaware how easy it is to burn the pads on the feet of my dog on the pavements in this hot weather. After burning my own dog's pads by just crossing a road my vet gave me excellent advice as follows:
* if it is too hot for me to walk on the footpath without shoes it is too hot for my dog
* if I put the back of my hand on the footpath I can tell how hot it is.
*the best thing for burnt paw pads is a dip in the sea.
I decided to post this to reach as many dog lovers as possible so everyone can be aware of how important it is to be aware of how hot the pavements can get and it may only be a 20 metre road crossing that can burn.
Enjoy summer with your buddy.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
