Art Week at Uplands Kindergarten 18-20 October at Somervell Church

Head Teacher from Uplands Kindergarten

OPp ARt : from chaos to form. This event aims to spark conversations and fresh solutions for making use of waste products, while turning junk into art. OPp ARt: from chaos to form allows us to ponder how we can be better guardians of our planet.
We have up-cycled sneakers, corks and soccer balls to display for Art week.
With the end of the winter sports season, if you have any children's old soccer boots which can no longer be used, please drop them into our kindergarten to up-cycle as planters.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
