Burglary is happening in Torbay, watch out!!

Susanne from Rothesay Bay

I got robbed on Thursday last week, living private up a driveway in Awaruku rd. The took half of my home and I’m sure they stopped taken the rest for another time, no more space in their truck/trailer…
Someone else now staying in my house telling me a Polynesian woman in hi viz top came up the driveway and asked about tree chopping.
A friend of his had seen her and a friend going along the road earlier walking up driveways and thought it was suspect.
Talked to others and they also thought it was very suspect from the approach. I imagine that’s how they check places out for burglary….

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
