IF CAN HELP IN ANYWAY!!!!
Hey There
I just wanted to put this out there, if its allowed if not please take it down. Sharing on behalf of my mum who has been away for a few months overseas and is now back in NZ.
I have shared in the group before that she does house/pet sitting if anyone is interested in that type of service.
She is in a bit of a bind in between house/pet sits and I was wondering if anyone was able to help or have any suggestions 🤔
A bit of context.
I live in a 2 bedroom flat with my partner, a baby, and a toddler, and so we aren't able to help with accommodation as we are crammed already.
Mum is trying to find other accommodation in between housesits but is finding it difficult with how expensive places are. She is a retired healthcare professional and a widow, and sometimes the house sits fall through, but that is just part of the industry.
She has traveled around all over Auckland and as far as Tauranga, Rotorua, and Christchurch housesitting and sometimes heads to Christchurch as she still has family and friends down there.
She has excellent references, 20+ 5* reviews if anyone is in need of her services, as some members in here can attest. The predicament she is in, and which is why I am trying to support her, is to help find options in between house sits.
This is not something that she wants to put anyone out with, but as her daughter, I want to make sure she has a roof over her head. If we were able to, we would, of course, have her staying with us, but it just doesn't work in our current living situation.
Does anyone have a spare room, granny flat, or self-contained unit that she can rent, or air bnb for a reasonable cost from time to time or have any ideas to suggest in how we can support her?
She is also considering setting down more permanently in the future and so could be considering renting long term in order to pursue her other interests as she also works from home as a proofreader and editor and also wants to concentrate on writing and coaching.
I am sharing on my socials and in groups around her house and pet sitting, too.
If anyone can help or have any ideas, please contact her directly. Janice Given either through messenger or call or txt on 0274774228.
Thank you so much.
Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
