I have looked at the map of proposed changes and large swathes of entire neighbourhoods are earmarked for a reduction to 30km/hr speed limits.
These are not just Temporary speed reductions in the streets outside of schools but permanent reductions engulfing entire neighbourhoods.

What you need to know:
- The eastbound lanes on Princes St in Ōtāhuhu, between Great South Rd and Atkinson Ave, have been closed to traffic.
- The hole is just under half a metre wide and about 30cm deep and part of the road nearby can be seen sinking and cracking slightly.
- Police are directing traffic away from the hole and Auckland Transport has diverted bus routes away until the hole is fixed.
