Award Presentation
On the last day of term we were very honoured to have Ranjana Patel come along to our class to present Jaswinder Singh with an Outstanding Learner Achievement Award. This is a very special English Language Partners bi-annual award which is presented to a learner who has shown outstanding progress in their acquisition and use of English. Jaswinder is from India and had never been to school before he attended our classes. Jaswinder not only studied and practiced his English outside the classroom, he picks up and drops of some fellow students so they may attend the class and has helped some of the other learners in his class to resolve issues they have had outside the classroom. Congratulations Jaswinder. We are all really proud of you.
Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
