Hi. I teach the acoustic/classical guitar & violin. I am able to teach to all ages…very young & matured. I started playing at age 6. So, I understand the learning challenges at an early age.

My qualifications are NZ Suzuki (guitar & violin), violin grade 8 (distinction), ATCL (distinction) - a diploma in music performance. When I teach, I use the best of both worlds of traditional & Suzuki teachings & it seems this combination works well. In 2020, I was a school prefect. I teach at Half Moon Bay, at a reasonable rate & can teach in the weekends too. I am fully vaccinated & wear a mask when teaching. The teaching room is well ventilated too.

Optimal Clinical Trials are looking for people over 60 years to volunteer for a Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) vaccine study.

The study will be based in our clinic in central Auckland and volunteers will be reimbursed for time and travel. We can also organise taxis if requested.

As people get older, colds can become more severe and frequent because of the effect that aging has on the immune system. Older people also have more chance of developing respiratory tract infections such as RSV - a contagious virus that can cause serious respiratory illnesses like pneumonia.

The guava moth is on the rampage again. We can all help to limit this pest (which destroys the home orchard) by picking up fallen fruit and destroying it. I recommend a bread bag, tied up and binned. If you want to count the worms (larvae), drop the fruit in a bucket of water. You may be surprised, especially with plums. Happy hunting, David H.
