Auckland Museum translates online war records into te reo Māori

Ripu Bhatia Reporter from Auckland Stuff

Hi neighbours,

An online military database has been translated into te reo to honour Māori servicemen and women.

Auckland War Memorial Museum has introduced the changes to the user interfaces of its online cenotaph and collections in time for Te Wiki o te Reo Māori – Māori Language Week.

The initiative was funded by a $15,000 grant from InternetNZ, a lobby group that aims to support digital inclusion.

Think about protecting your home while you are away at the beach

Howard from AB Electrical

As the festive season approaches, many are planning their holiday at one of the magnificent beaches we enjoy in NZ. But often families overlook that they are leaving their family home unattended. Security lights activated by motion detection provide a fantastic deterrent to people who may be snooping around while you are away. When your driveway suddenly lights up like Eden Park, this is a great message for the uninvited to go elsewhere. Makes sure you have some form of security lighting in place before you head off to the beach. Replace failed security lights and ensure peace of mind while you are away. Don't be the only home in the street that has no security lights - you may become the target
