Need a house sitter anytime between June and December 2023?

Sheridan from Kohimarama

If you prefer to have someone look after your cat 'in-house' and take good care of your home while you're away, I can help. If you don't have any pets but prefer your home looks lived-in, I can help with that too.
Happy to look after your dog although typically, owners prefer someone home during the day but if that’s not an issue, we can talk about that.

I'm currently house sitting and looking after a cat in St Heliers but available from 2 June.

ABOUT ME
I’m nearing retirement and planning my VanLife adventures. I will fit-out my own van and travel around NZ, finish hiking the rest of the great walks, riding and bike packing around our stunning country.

I currently work full time as a Documentation Specialist for a software company Monday to Friday in the Auckland CBD and ride to work most days. I have the option to work from home one day per week.

I do gardening, mow lawns, pull weeds…whatever is required to keep your home looking ‘loved and lived in’.

DURATION
Ideally, at least 4 weeks to as long as required. But if you’re away a bit short of that time, please ask me.

I'm available from 2 June to 31 December 2023.
Happy to pay for water, power and internet usage.

Please reply to this post or just send me a personal message via Messenger or Facebook - I'm very easy to find.

Poll: Is street parking fair game?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Some people are frustrated by their neighbours or neighbour's friends parking on the street outside their house. This means they have to park further away themselves.

Do you think it is inconsiderate to park directly outside a neighbour's house on the road? Or do you think street parking is fair game?

Share your thoughts below.

SCAM ALERT

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Own your Online website is part of the New Zealand government's work to raise understanding of cyber security issues for individuals and businesses, they have shared a message about a new scam that is targeting Kiwis.

Own Your Online say:
We are seeing a significant increase in reporting of ‘Hi Mum’ scams.
A ‘Hi Mum’ scam is a scam where a random message from an unknown number is sent to you claiming to be from a close relative, usually your son or daughter.
The fake relative often claims their phone is broken – which is why they’re contacting you from a different number – and will ask you to do something, sometimes asking you to help them with a payment or to do something by clicking a link.

If you receive one of these, don’t click the links. Try to contact your relative using their normal number which is probably still working.
You can also report these scam messages by forwarding free to Department of Internal Affairs on 7726
