Learning the art of successfully keeping a healthy Kombucha Scoby is the beginning of a life-transforming attitude towards a healthy gut. These fermented drinks contain beneficial enzymes and nutrients that improve digestion and boost your beneficial gut flora and immunity.
In this in-depth class, you will learn how to be your own therapeutic kitchen master, learning to make this nutritious drink with delicious flavours.
Participants receive their own SCOBY, starter liquid and a handout with brewing instructions to take home. Bring a jar!

Tutor: Julie Craig
Julie is a tutor, author and columnist who is passionate about living sustainably in Auckland’s urban environment. A horticulturally trained, historic food practitioner, Julie is the Wild Crafter that weaves together the classes for the Oak and Thistle team. Specialising in teaching food initiatives, brewing, foraging, making medicine and household products, Julie is passionate about fostering strong communities through bartering, sharing and teaching.

Terms and Conditions:

Course registration closes 24 hours before the course starts, unless it is full prior to this. Therefore please book early to avoid disappointment. We do not accept walk-ins on the day for our courses. Please register and pay before the start of the course.

Refund Policy – Courses

If you cancel a course booking five (5) days before the start of the course, we will give you a full refund.
If you cancel a course booking between five (5) days and one (1) day before the start of a course, we will give you a 50% refund.
If you cancel your booking on the day of the course, you are not entitled to a refund.

Cancellations

Kaipatiki Project reserves the right to cancel any course at any time. We will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible before we cancel a course. If we cancel a course, you will receive a full refund.
