MPI's updated chemical warning in fruit fly surveillance traps
Hi neighbours. The Ministry of Primary Industries (MPI) recently delivered notices to households with fruit fly surveillance traps updating the toxicity level of the insecticide from harmful to fatal if ingested. The traps have been in the back yards of Northcote and Devonport residents since February.
Controlled Area Notices remain in place for Northcote, following a discovery of a Queensland fruit fly on April 26.
