Minor Ailment Service
Hi Everyone, Hope you are well and this was okay to post here
The team at Life Pharmacy Birkenhead wanted to inform the community of a new national government funded winter service commencing on June 12th through to September 2023.
This service is called ‘Minor Ailment Service’ and enables eligible people to access some free medication from the pharmacy. Our pharmacists can consult, provide advice and treat common minor illnessess with a range of medication for free.
This service is to provide easier access to healthcare over winter for our community.
The Eligibility criteria is:
-Children under 14 years old, or whānau members of a chid with similar symptoms
-Community service card holders
-Māori and Pacific people
The Minor Ailments include:
-Diarrhoea/Dehydration
-Eye inflammation and infections
-Scabies
-Head lice
-Pain and Fever
-Eczema/Dermatitis
-Minor Skin Infections
