Basement reno
Hello neighbours, im reaching out in the hopes someone much more knowledgeable can point me in the right direction!
I'd like to turn my basement into some sort of a hobby room/workshop area. Rather annoyingly though there is what i can only guess is some sort of reinforcing in the form of soil.
First of all i would like to know if it's possible to remove the soil and in it's place replace it with some sort of concrete reinforcing.
Secondly, if that is even possible what sort of work would be required? Is it a matter of concrete reinforcing in the form of spray-on concrete or would it be steel rods with concrete etc.
Thank you :)

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
