How to protect New Zealand taonga, kauri trees

The Team from Pest Free Kaipātiki Restoration Society (Inc.)

šŸŒ³Want to protect our taonga? We have combined the kauri care for homeowners and the kauri certification trainings. Secure your spot today, as registrations are limited!

The kauri care for homeowners section of the training will go for about 1 hour. This training is great if you have kauri on your property or if you are simply interested in how the disease works.
The workshop will also give you the ability to formulate your own plans for dealing with the spread of kauri dieback, and maintaining the health and safety of our precious kauri trees.

The kauri dieback certification section of the training will run for about 2 hours and s focused on upskilling volunteers and residents within Kaipātiki, and sharing how to look after kauri trees while conducting pest control or restoration work such as weeding, predator control or planting. If you are a volunteer who wants to safely continue your work in areas with kauri, this is the workshop for you!

The certification will allow you to enter the reserve in case of kauri dieback closures.
