Emergency power shut down this afternoon from 1:30pm
There will an emergency power shutdown from 1.30pm-4pm today as we carry out work to repair damaged lines in Kawakawa Bay.
Areas affected include: Rautawa Place, Kawakawa Bay Coast Road, Cottonwood Place, Ferndale Drive, Karaka Road and Te Papa Road.
If you use medical equipment that relies on electricity and there is an immediate health threat, please call your health provider or 111 immediately.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
