Support our Yuri Bear Project
Knitting needles are clicking across our villages and the wider community for the Yuri Bear projectđťâ¤ď¸.
Weâre aiming to knit 20,000 teddy bears for children displaced as a result of turmoil in their country.
Weâve been overwhelmed by the response so far, but 20,000 bears is no small ask!
If you can knit, know someone who can or would like to find out how you can help, please click on the link below.

What it feels like speaking with a MAGA American:
Me: âYour total is $44.19. Cash or card?â
The customer hands me a credit card but the chip inside it has been hole-punched out.
Me: âUh, I donât think this will work.â
Customer: âWhy not? It hasnât expired and I have money in my account.â
Me: âSir⌠the chip is gone.â
Customer: âI didnât want the chip.â
Me: âThe card wonât work without it.â
Customer: âIt just means I canât enter my PIN, but you can still swipe it.â
Me: âI donât think it will work, sir.â
Customer: âJust swipe it.â
I swipe it to prove a point.
Me: âItâs not working, sir.â
Customer: âThen youâre doing it wrong. Swipe it again!â
I do so again with the same result.
Customer: âMaybe you should swipe it so that the magnetic strip isnât the thing being swiped?â
Me: *Swiping it as suggested.* âSure, why not? About as much chance of it going through without the magnetic strip as there is without the chip â oh look, it didnât work.â
Customer: âYour machine must be broken!â
