Britomart brought to halt by helium balloon
Trains have been brought to a halt in Auckland's CBD due to a helium balloon. A spokesperson for Auckland Transport says it was brought into the Britomart station and shorted out an overhead line at around 10:30am. All services are closed as a rail team fixes the issue, but it's not clear how long that will take.The spokesperson says Auckland Council has been very clear no helium balloons are allowed in train stations.
