Our annual play reading series at the Vic launches this Sunday with a light-hearted satire by Auckland writer Kathryn Burnett and is directed by Devonport local Sherry Ede.
"The Campervan" is the story of a rich-lister who wants to give away his wealth and live in a campervan, much to the dismay of his family.
The cast includes Stephen Papps and Anna Julienne
This is the third play reading series held at the Vic and has become a highly popular annual event.
Geoff Allen’s play "Broken String" and the classic award-winning play "Cherish" by Ken Duncum follow on subsequent Sunday afternoons.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
