Volunteer Driver Mentors Needed
From the countryside of Burma to Open Road in New Zealand: For Thdah, a restricted licence means she can apply for more jobs. She can easily drop her kids to school and she is less worried about needing to rush to clinic/hospital especially with one sickly child. Despite the language barrier and being scared to drive in busy roads, Thdah gained confidence to drive with the support of qualified instructor Susan Matencio and volunteer interpreter who supported her during driving lessons.
If you already got 2 years NZ full licence and keen to help learners from refugee background in our OPEN ROAD Refugee Driver Training Programme, join our team of volunteer mentors and support persons for test day! Come along to our next session 5 OCTOBER on DRIVING TEST TIPS and NZ ROAD CODE REFRESHER www.facebook.com...
