Volunteer on Maungawhau / Mt Eden
Join the Friends of Maungawhau tomorrow! This Saturday 2 March we'll take a guided walk and do some work on the maunga. We'll identify plants, discuss long-term plant succession, and release native seedlings. There'll also be a demonstration on clearing water bars (drains). This is a great opportunity to get involved. Dress appropriately, and bring gardening gloves, secateurs or a long gardening knife for long grass, if you have one. Contact Kit to register and find out more.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
