Matariki at Sandringham 2022
We are celebrating Matariki at Sandringham Community Centre next month. Matariki is the group of 9 stars in the galaxy known as the Pleiades star cluster and is often referred to as the 9 sisters. It marks the celebration of the Maori New Year which is a time of renewal. We will be making harakeke flax stars, retelling stories and sharing kai to eat. The storytelling will inform our Albert Eden community of the celebration of Matariki . You are all very welcome to join us !
Poll: Should drivers retake the theory test every 10 years?
Drivers get where they need to go, but sometimes it seems that we are all abiding by different road rules (for example, the varying ways drivers indicate around a roundabout).
Do you think drivers should be required to take a quick driving theory test every 10 years?
Vote in the poll and share any road rules that you've seen bent! 😱
