Alberton is Re-opening on the 8th January 2022!

Rendell McIntosh from Alberton

Alberton is looking incredible after being freshly painted, and undergoing repairs to the roof and verandah joinery! We are very excited to be able to open our doors and welcome you back from Saturday 8th January!

Our ever popular Quince Jelly and Guava Jelly has just arrived in store from Zino’s Preserves, so make sure you come and get yours before they’re all gone! The guavas and quinces are all grown on site here at Alberton so they are truly homegrown.

All staff are fully vaccinated to help keep our communities safe and keep our heritage places accessible to as many as possible. Please be aware that all visitors (including children aged 12 years and 3 months or older) to the house and shop will be required to present their My Vaccine Pass for scanning upon arrival, as well as signing in using the Covid Tracer App or manual sign in sheets. A mask will need to be worn for the duration of your visit. Numbers will be limited inside the house and shop so you may need to wait before you can come in, providing the perfect opportunity to explore our wonderful gardens.

We will be operating with reduced opening hours of 10:30am – 4:00pm (last entry at 3:15pm), Wednesday – Sunday, to allow time for enhanced cleaning.

For more information on how our properties will operate under the Covid Protection Framework please visit www.visitheritage.co.nz...

From the team at Alberton, wishing you a very Meri Kirihimete, best wishes for the festive season and a Happy New Year!

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
