Giving an insight into the kind of home baked treats enjoyed with tea and with guests in early New Zealand, most of the recipes were tried and tested (and the results tasted) for the making of the book! A special souvenir of our Auckland historic homes and lovely gift the keen baker.

Luckily self-checkout is being pretty common in supermarkets these days and we generally use it to quickly buy a few things without the long lines. But perhaps it's appropriate to head there with your full trolley to skip the lines?
