🗣 Calling all volunteers!
Orakei Local Board is celebrating all of the wonderful volunteers who give their time in so many ways, to make our communities beautiful, safe, friendly, fed, loved and a better place to live.
While the board know plenty of local volunteers, there are still many that they don't know and so are asking YOU to tell them who else is out there. If you know someone who gives their time for our communities let the team know by emailing the details through to: orakeievents@aucklandcouncil.govt.nz
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
