SMALL HEALTHY AVOCADO TREES FOR SALE

Tracey from Bayswater

I have got numerous healthy avocado trees growing in my garden (which I have grown from a stone rather than grafted). Many are around 1 metre or so in height and one is about 2 metres in height. The approx. 1 metre trees are $20 and the 2 metre tree is $30. They are still growing in the garden so the buyer will need to dig them out. I have an avocado tree in my garden which I grew from a stone (non-grafted) and it produces beautiful avocados every year (pest free -- no maintenence needed for the tree and its 32 years old and still producing. They say non-grafted avocado trees don't produce fruit - but my tree has. No guarantees as to whether they will fruit or not. Photos of the fruit growing on my tree. The avocados on my tree are "Fuetre" (thin outer skin) which you pick when they are at a good size, once picked the avocado will soften (this particular type of avocado doesn't turn black). Mine are pest and disease free. I usually harvest the avocados as I need them in April and because they only start ripening (going soft) once picked - the beauty of that is that is that the fruit on the tree lasts much longer. Not entirely sure what type of avocado these trees will produce (if any)but could be Fuetre as well.

Pick up is Bayswater on the North Shore and buyer can dig plant out. Avocados are shallow rooted and the soil is soft and loomy so should be easy to dig out. Thanks.

Price: $20

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
