What happens if cedar Cladding is left untreated ?

JO from Miraj Painting & Spraying

What happens if cedar Cladding is left untreated ?

Drying:
This is the most common cause As cedar loses moisture, it shrinks and stresses in the wood can cause cracks, particularly in thicker pieces.

Sun exposure:
Excessive sun exposure can dry out the wood unevenly, increasing the risk of cracks.

Temperature fluctuations
Dramatic changes in temperature can also cause the wood to expand and contract, putting stress on its fibers and potentially leading to cracks.

Exposure to rain, snow, and condensation:
These external elements can directly introduce moisture into the wood. The surfaces of Cedar boards exposed outdoors inevitably become dirty and can also be discolored by mildew, algae and moss.

Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.

When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
