Connection and Companionship

Ainsley Darvell from Flying Kites - Mangere

🔶Do you need a couple of hours work in a week?
🔶Do you love to share a cup of tea and build relationships with others?
🔶Are you a solutions person, who makes the most of the situation at hand?

An older gentleman is looking for some advice and support in his week. He has a mild disability and needs someone to support him with activities outside of his comfort zone - like trying new foods, dealing with his landlord or explaining things to the doctor.

He is a social and capable man, who needs a push in the right direction when things get outside of his routine. If you love to chat, to share advice and know when to encourage and when to step back, then this role is for you. If two hours of chatting and supporting someone would top your week off nicely then get in touch. Ideally you would be available on Tuesday and/or Thursday to share a cup of tea and a bit of inspiration – but we are pretty flexible for the right person.

If you are interested please email jobs@flyingkites.org.nz or send me a message. The role pays $24 - $30 per hour and is based in Mangere Bridge.

Flying Kites helps people with disabilities find amazing people to support them to live their lives and achieve their dreams. #FlyingkitesNZ
