Visitor restrictions for hospitals and facilities due to COVID-19 (Samoan)
Important update in Samoan from our Nurse Case Manager for Fanau Ola, Joyce Fiamei. As part of our response to COVID-19, we are limiting the number of visitors for patients at all our hospitals and outpatient facilities, to two people. If you’re unwell, please stay home. You will be screened before entering the hospital and will be turned away if you’re unwell or have travelled. Children under 15 will not be able to visit at this time. Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
