Support for our sister stream: Te Ararata
Hey neighbors, our sister stream needs some support to protect the biodiversity and the trees by dealing to invasive plant species. Did you know we only have 8% canopy cover here in Māngere? Trees provide habitats, food and oxygen for all life so they're pretty important. Te Ararata has some great trees new and old to provide these benefits to our community and they need help to thrive. Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
