Community Constable Don Allan's July newsletter
Hi Neighbours,
Thanks to Don for the latest newsletter, we're very lucky to have him keeping us up to date. It's a win win for us as Don is also a resident in the area so he has a professional and personal interest too.
We're all in this together.......
Don states .... The last few months of local property crime has been worrisome, but on a whole, crime is ultimately on the decrease in our community, as the last ten years for reporting tells us.
The overall reduction in crime has been a result of community vigilance, including an increase in neighbour and residents support groups (Neighbourhood Support) and the establishment of a local community Patrol (CPNZ)....
there's more in the newsletter......

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
