Homestay family needed
Dear all neighbourly families,
I'm in need for families who are able to host international students, include them as part of the family and show them some kiwi hospitality. Details of the group are as follows:
- Japanese students; 21 July to 3 August; $910.00 for 13 nights including transfer;
- Japanese students; 27 July to 8 August; $840.00 for 12 nights including transfer;
- Japanese students; 2 August to 11 August; $630.00 for 9 nights including transfer;
Hosting students is a rewarding experience and a wonderful opportunity to learn about different cultures. Both our families and students enjoy this a lot.
We require families where English is the first language, to give the students every opportunity to improve their oral language skills.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
