Liam's success story with Skills Update
Liam completed his National Certificate in Security, Level 2, at the end of 2017 and has now got employment with Simply Security Ltd, a well-known company, working at a number of sites throughout the country.
Liam has joined a number of fellow Skills Update security course colleagues who are also working there. During the last week he has completed the induction for new employees and is currently stationed at a major construction site in downtown Auckland City.
From here Liam hopes to move shortly to join other Skills security course graduates at the site of the University of Auckland. Liam said he is finding the work interesting and challenging and credits the training he received at the security course as a major help in enabling him to put theory into practice.
Congratulations Liam, awesome job!

Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
Do you think this ban is reasonable?
