At New Zealand Red Cross we recruit and coordinate volunteers to deliver Meals on Wheels to people who are unable to cook for themselves. Every weekday all around the country, 250 volunteers are on the roads delivering hot, healthy lunches. Last year we distributed over 700,000 meals.

Every weekday all around the country, 250 volunteers are on the roads delivering hot, healthy lunches. Last year we distributed over 700,000 meals.
We are struggling to fill the rosters for volunteer drivers in South Auckland and need up to 70 more drivers. Could you spare just a couple of hours late morning once a week or fortnight? We provide training and support โ and your fuel costs will be reimbursed.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer driver, you can apply apply online or call the contact centre on 0800 RED CROSS (0800 733 27677).
