Solar Power Installed at Kiwi Self Storage Mount Roskill

Alan Storage from Kiwi Self Storage - Mt Roskill

Due to the nature of storage, one of our largest expenses and source of emissions is electricity for lighting the storage facility.
So to do our bit for the planet and to be honest, save money, we installed solar panels and a storage battery system at our Mount Roskill facility.

We have been involved with Toitu's carbon zero scheme for five years now and our energy use is fully audited and offset.

You can read about this and our other initiatives here:

One of the reasons we were voted NZ's best self storage in 2024.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
