Weekend part time position available
Mairangi Arts Centre seeks a warm, friendly person with customer service experience to join our small team as our Weekend Gallery Minder. The centre has two galleries which showcase a range of art exhibitions and four busy art studios that are the venue for our popular art class programme. We are looking for a reliable, conscientious person who can work independently during the weekend.
Duties and responsibilities includes:
- Minding our galleries and welcoming visitors
- Front facing customer service in a professional manner
- Responding to enquires received at reception and by telephone
- Processing gallery and gallery store sales through the EFTPOS machine and the till
- Taking recycling bins out according to schedule
- Assisting with exhibition openings and weekend events
- Other general duties as they arise from correspondence from the weekday team
Hours for the position are 10am-2pm on Saturdays and Sundays (excluding long weekends). Start date is Saturday 17 September.
