Titirangi Choir seeking members
Titirangi Chamber Choir is seeking new members in all sections (SATB). We are a non affiliated, not for profit choir whose purpose is to be of service to the community, taking live music to charitable institutions such as rest homes and hospitals as well as local arts venues. We sing for joy and our purpose is to generate uplifting music in these difficult times. Our repertoire includes a lot of Renaissance and other classical music; also gospel, world, folk and contemporary. Choral experience is good but not essential. We are a reading choir so some ability to read music is a pre-requisite. There is a wide age range - young to ca 65. Rehearsals are in Titirangi on Mondays, 7.15 - 9.15pm. For further information please contact the Musical Director Brigid Bisley at brigidbisley@gmail.com. We look forward to hearing from you :)
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
