One issue we see quite often is clients making tax payments to the wrong IRD account, or against the wrong financial year. If payment has been made to the wrong account it will look as if you have missed a deadline and then penalties and interest can be charged. In this article we provide a list of the most common IRD tax accounts and how to use them.

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
