Auckland Council is proposing to develop the Anzac St car park in the centre of Takapuna. Panuku is still consulting on a plan, but is suggesting a town square the size of Aotea square, a park, facilities to support the Sunday Market, walkways linking to Hurstmere Rd, short-term parking in central Takapuna and an increased number of car parks about 400m away at the gasometer site. To fund this without requiring a rates rise or targeted rate, the council would sell a portion of the car park to developers for apartments. Do you approve of this plan? Answer the poll and post your views. Put NFP in your post if it is not for publication. www.stuff.co.nz...
