Replacement gutter parts needed - Qiubo Su
Hi All,
Yesterday late afternoon, after I poured some more self-made concrete around the paver edges around one ditch of my 2nd vegi garden at the back of my property, I used the a few months ago purchased extension ladder to climb up to the roof eaves area of my property, just above the roof of my garage next to my property, planning to repair the two pieces of cracked roof gutter parts, one gutter joiner and one gutter external corner, see the attached photos for the issues of these roof gutter parts. These roof gutter parts have issues for a long time, whenever it rains, there is some rain water dripping down onto the roof of my garage, this doesn't look and sound good, but this isn't a big issue and not an urgent issue for me either. My property has been in good condition, no issues, except that this gutter parts issue existed for years and the garage metal roof has some slightly leaking issue that started a few years ago, otherwise there is no issue for my property. The garage is an inhabitable area, so it isn't an urgent issue for me to resolve.
I plan to fix this roof gutter parts issue first, then install the rain water harvesting system with the large water tank I purchased before, see the large water tank in one of the photos and the photos taken from the ground for the roof gutter just above my garage roof. From the photos it isn't easy to tell the issue of the mentioned gutter parts.
Yesterday night, I tried to find the replacement parts online, e.g. from trademe, bunnings etc, for these two cracked gutter parts, but I couldn't find the suitable ones at a good price. Does anyone have the right parts at a good price to offer, or the used ones cost a lot less (the used ones would be better, as I'm not going to sell my property, so used ones are fine)?
When I get the right replacement parts, I can climb up there again and repair the issue promptly, with the long enough ladder I now have.
Thank you very much.
Best regards,
Qiubo Su
⚠️ DOGS DIE IN HOT CARS. If you love them, don't leave them. ⚠️
It's a message we share time and time again, and this year, we're calling on you to help us spread that message further.
Did you know that calls to SPCA about dogs left inside hot cars made up a whopping 11% of all welfare calls last summer? This is a completely preventable issue, and one which is causing hundreds of dogs (often loved pets) to suffer.
Here are some quick facts to share with the dog owners in your life:
👉 The temperature inside a car can heat to over 50°C in less than 15 minutes.
👉 Parking in the shade and cracking windows does little to help on a warm day. Dogs rely on panting to keep cool, which they can't do in a hot car.
👉 This puts dogs at a high risk of heatstroke - a serious condition for dogs, with a mortality rate between 39%-50%.
👉 It is an offence under the Animal Welfare Act to leave a dog in a hot vehicle if they are showing signs of heat stress. You can be fined, and prosecuted.
SPCA has created downloadable resources to help you spread the message even further. Posters, a flyer, and a social media tile can be downloaded from our website here: www.spca.nz...
We encourage you to use these - and ask your local businesses to display the posters if they can. Flyers can be kept in your car and handed out as needed.
This is a community problem, and one we cannot solve alone. Help us to prevent more tragedies this summer by sharing this post.
On behalf of the animals - thank you ❤️
