World Hepatitis Day
Sunday is World Hepatitis Day. If you think you've been exposed to hepatitis C at any time, now is the time to have a test. It''s caught through blood to blood contact, like unsterilised medical equipment, dodgy tattoos or piercings, iv drug use, medical treatment in third world countries, or blood transfusions before 1992. Hepatitis C is a silent killer. 1 in a 100 Kiwis have it but most don''t know. You can have it for years with vague symptoms like tiredness or brain fog but it can progress to liver cancer. Now there is a simple 8 week cure free from your GP. Get tested, get treated, get cured.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
