Celebrate St David's Day with the Auckland Welsh Choir-With Love and Hope - Gyda Chariad a Gobaith
Early each March the Auckland Welsh Choir celebrates St David, the patron saint of Wales. This year we will showcase music of love and hope, through popular choral music and our traditional, wide-ranging and well-loved repertoire.
The choir is delighted to welcome as its special guests an invited opera quartet. All are NZ emerging artists and graduates in singing performance. Be prepared for a treat as they sing well-known quartets from operas Fidelio and Martha!
Our Concert is fundraising for A Girl Called Hope, a non–profit organisation working with young women who face life-controlling issues. We invite you to join us for this concert and help A Girl Called Hope to continue to provide a future full of hope and potential to every young woman .
“Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, cast the shadow of our burden behind us.” Samuel Smiles, 1812 – 1904.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
