In the lead up to the 2020 election, Stuff is keeping voters up to date with what’s happening in their electorate, through Neighbourly. Here’s what you need to know about the candidates in the running to be Mt Albert’s MP.
At the October 17 election, New Zealanders will have the opportunity to choose their regional spokesperson.
Through the Mixed Member Proportional (MMP) voting system, those enrolled can vote for the party they want as well as a local representative.
Why does my MP matter?
The person elected will be the voice for your region in Parliament. If you’re having trouble getting entitlements or dealing with Government departments, they can help. If your community needs funding for certain projects or activities, or there isn’t enough healthcare in the area, the elected MP can step in and help.

Everything makes a difference for some people - and the nice thing is, other people are now adding their surplus so it has turned itself into a small Pataka Kai. And I get to pick the odd avocado somebody puts in there as a win-win.
Just take a minute a d think whether you have extra.

I treat simple cavities to complex full mouth rehabilitation. I focus on biometric dentistry and overtreating is not my policy. I just treat what needs to be done, giving you a genuine and honest opinion on your teeth.

We have got all the latest technology in our practice. We do 3D guided implant technology, 3D CAD-CAM crown technology, Invisalign, laser dentistry, digital x-rays, keyhole Implant surgery, air abrasion etc. which helps us be more precise and accurate in our diagnosis and treatment. Minimally invasive Implant surgery with just a keyhole punch. Fewer sutures, less bleeding and swelling and speedy recovery. Faster and more precise surgery.

Transport authorities have pulled double-decker buses from the Auckland Harbour Bridge and are warning it could close completely during a massive storm forecast for much of the country. this weekend.
MetService previously said travel disruptions are likely this weekend, as severe gales, heavy rain and big waves batter the country, followed by cold Antarctic air bringing snow to low levels in the deep south.
Meteorologists believe the storm could be “one of the most widespread severe weather events this year”.
Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) general manager of transport services Brett Gliddon advised motorcyclists and those driving high-sided vehicles to avoid the bridge.
