World Read Aloud Day

NumberWorks'nWords Invercargill

World Read Aloud Day is about celebrating the power of reading aloud. It encourages children and adults to grab a book, find an audience, and read aloud!
The best way to celebrate World Read Aloud Day is to read a book to someone. Whether it's one person or 100 people, sharing a story with your own voice is what the day is all about.

Great news Aucklanders: Panmure Basin's long-awaited replacement bridge for pedestrians, scooters and bikes is now in place.
The 56-tonne bridge was carefully lifted with the help of two cranes to safely move it into location.

📅 You'll be able to test out the new bridge for yourself mid-2025.
