Walk and collect on 18 & 19 Oct 2020
Hello neighbours,
During the next weekend (18 & 19 Oct 2020) we are having a "Walk and Collect Weekend" wherein we head out for a walk and collect a bag of rubbish from your local community. You're going to feel great and collectively we're going to make a real difference!
I participated in this last year and won a prize too. This has stimulated me to do this more often. Lets make our neighbourhood clean and beautiful.
PS - Some personal advice:
Please wear appropriate gloves.
Carry a hand sanitizer or wet wipes. You may sometimes need it.
Avoid touching any suspicious rubbish.
Take extra care while handling glass and metal rubbish.
Lookout for traffic.
Don't go alone. Take your friend or family member with you.
Don't forget to take some photos and win prizes.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
-
85.5% Yes

13.3% No

1.1% Other - I'll share below
