Auckland’s newest destination for art lovers!
Celebrate the opening of the Didsbury Art Trail at Hobsonville Point this weekend (7th and Sunday 8th March) from 10am-2pm.
Experience larger-than-life artworks from some of New Zealand’s top artists as you wind your way along picturesque coastline and beautiful streetscapes, taking in unique heritage sites along the way.
There are loads of fun events scheduled to celebrate the opening, including artists’ workshops and kids’ activities along the trail. Plus, the Catalina Bay Farmers Market will be hosting their 10 year anniversary celebration, alongside waterfront cafes, restaurants and the Little Creatures microbrewery.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
